Nike x Next
Nike x Next - Ready, Set, Girl
2024
Experts say that teen girls do better physically, mentally, emotionally and socially when they get the chance to play. Yet, girls are dropping out of sports at twice the rate of boys.
Celebrating the latest Nike Girls collection at Next, 16 guests were in invited to a wholesome day of activities and fun at the The Hoxton Shepherds Bush aimed at encouraging girls to stay in sport while going through their teenage years.
With tailored activities like bra fitting, yoga and tie-dye, the girls got to know each other and also learned about their bodies and the importance of breaking past barriers that exist for their age group.
With the goal set to inspire, uplift and empower girls to realise their unique strengths, a fresh and fun tablescape themed on affirmations was designed and painted live on the day by artist Elsa Gladstone. A stylised version of a rosette made up the menu
Sports stars Alex Bailess and Josie Green also spent the day with the girls with a panel discussion, answering questions, making friends and getting involved in the action!
